After the repair we test that air is moving properly out of the vent, not only that it looks clean.
Rigid or semi-rigid metal duct, with proper tape or clamps at the joints. No foil or vinyl flex where it doesn't belong.
Call us and we'll book the soonest opening in your area. Many repairs are done the same visit.
Clearing built-up lint from the whole duct so air can move freely again.
Here’s what we do on a repair visit and how to tell which service you need. (Give the H3s ids for the jump links: lint-removal, elbow-joint-repair, dryer-vent-cleaning.)
We start by looking at the dryer, the connection behind it, the duct run to the outside, and the cap. We check for lint, crushed or kinked sections, loose or separated joints, and a cap that won’t open. Then we explain what we found and what it would take to fix. You approve the price before we start working.
Lint builds up in the duct and at the cap, and the filter inside the dryer only catches some of it. We clear the duct along its full length and clean the cap, then check that air is moving freely. If a vent is clogged enough that clothes won’t dry, this is often the whole fix. We also handle clogged dryer vent repair when lint has packed so tightly that it takes more than a quick clean.
Most dryer exhaust problems happen at the connections. An elbow behind the dryer gets crushed when the machine is pushed back. A joint in the attic splits. A section pulls loose from the wall. We repair or replace the damaged part, secure it, and seal it so lint and moist air don’t end up inside the wall.
Once a year is a sensible schedule for most homes. If you do a lot of laundry, have pets, or your duct has a long run or several bends, you may want to do it more often. We offer dryer vent cleaning across DFW, including Fort Worth, Dallas and Flower Mound. [Confirm the cities CR serves for this service.]
Repair makes sense when the problem is a clog or a single damaged section. Replacement is the better option if the whole duct is foil or vinyl, crushed in several places, too long, or in poor shape. We’ll tell you plainly which one applies and give you both prices when it’s close. If you need a new vent, see our dryer vent installation (/hvac/dryer-vent-duct/new-installation/) page.

• The top of the dryer or the laundry room is very hot.
• You smell something burning or notice a musty smell.
• Lint is collecting around the outside cap, or the flap won’t open.
• It’s been years since the vent was checked.
