1. Electrical Repairs
Most repair calls start with something small. An outlet that stopped working. A switch plate that’s warm. A breaker you’ve reset three times this month. Those are worth checking because they’re usually the first sign of a loose connection, an overloaded circuit or wiring that’s worn out.
We test the circuit, open the box, and fix the actual fault. That includes arc fault breaker trips, which often point to damaged wire or a bad device somewhere down the line. Replacing the breaker alone rarely solves it.
2. Installations and Upgrades
New outlets and USB outlets, recessed lighting, ceiling fans, outdoor and landscape lights, and dedicated circuits for kitchens, workshops and hot tubs. We also install smoke and CO detectors and whole-home surge protection, which matters more than people think in a place with as many summer storms as North Texas.
If your home still has a 100-amp panel, adding a big load like an EV charger or a new HVAC system can mean a panel upgrade to 200 amps. We’ll do a load calculation first. Sometimes a load management device gets you there without replacing the panel, and that’s a lot cheaper.
3. Backup and Emergency Power
When the power goes out in July or during an ice storm, a generator is the difference between a livable house and a hotel room. We size, install and service standby generators and wire the transfer switch so it kicks on by itself. Portable generator? We can install an inlet and interlock so you can run it safely without extension cords through the window.
4. Smart and Energy-Efficient Electrical
Smart switches, dimmers, motion lighting and LED retrofits. These are small jobs that make a real difference in how a house feels and what the bill looks like. We also install Level 2 EV chargers, usually on a new 240-volt circuit run straight from the panel to the garage.
5. Electrical Inspection and Troubleshooting
Buying an older home in NRH, finishing a remodel, or just want to know what’s behind the walls? A whole-home inspection checks the panel, grounding, GFCI and AFCI protection, outlets, and any DIY work left by a previous owner. You get a written list of what we found, sorted by what needs fixing now and what can wait.
Troubleshooting is the other half. Dead outlets, flickering lights, a breaker that trips at random. We trace it with the right meters instead of guessing.
6. Generator Services
Already have a generator? We handle annual maintenance, battery and oil changes, load testing and repairs. A standby unit that hasn’t been run under load in a year is the one that won’t start when you need it.
